We are seeking a maintenance manager to oversee the maintenance operations of the school. The job involves the supervising a staff of around 25 tradesman and laborers who help to keep the school running on a daily basis. These tasks will involve anything from minor building works through to electrical and plumbing installations and troubles shooting. Whilst hands on experience would be useful, the real challenge is to manage and organize the team on a day to day basis.
The school operates over three campuses, with in excess of 40 buildings to maintain, as well as water supply systems, electrical backup systems and waste disposal systems.
This is a challenging role that involves direct contact with our local work force as well as dealing with local suppliers and contractors. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated person who enjoys a challenge and who can lead by example, as well as being a practical problem solver.
A minimum commitment of at least 12-months is expected.
LOCATION: Arusha, Tanzania
