The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) – the representative organization for manufacturing value add industries in Kenya is seeking to competitively fill the following position:
Project Coordinator, Regional Technical Assistance Program (RTAP) for energy efficiency and Renewable Energy Development in EAC
The Coordinator will work on full-time basis for 2-years and will coordinate the activities of the Agence Franaise De Dveloppement (AFD) Regional Technical Assistance program under the directive of the team leader of the RTAP.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities shall entail managing and coordination of the RTAP activities under the supervision of the Team Leader in order to ensure the success of the programme, including:

The Coordinator will work on full-time basis for 2-years and will coordinate the activities of the Agence Franaise De Dveloppement (AFD) Regional Technical Assistance program under the directive of the team leader of the RTAP.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities shall entail managing and coordination of the RTAP activities under the supervision of the Team Leader in order to ensure the success of the programme, including:
- Ensure the well functioning of the RTAP and the role of KAM in the implementation of the Project in relation with the KAM Chief Executive
- Coordinate and manage the resources of the Revolving fund related to the feasibility studies for EE & RE projects (accounting, support on procurement issues, payments, repayment);
- Coordinate and manage specialised training / seminar on energy efficiency and renewable energy for local stakeholders (experts, project’s sponsors, enterprises);
- Prepare regular progress reports on the project implementation ;
- Establish and manage working linkages and cooperation agreements with specialized entities in Tanzania and Uganda in order to implement activities related to the Project
- Establish and manage working linkages and cooperation with any relevant projects or initiatives on topics relating to Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania ;
- Promote the AFD Project within industry and other potential project sponsors.
- Assist the experts of the RTAP in order to conduct their duties and Perform any other duties as may be assigned by KAM Chief Executive and the Lead Expert
- Represent the Lead expert at designated meetings as may be assigned;
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics, Engineering, Business and Marketing from a recognized institution.
- Project planning skills
- Team player
- Good analytical and writing skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills with customer focus
- Minimum 5 years of professional working experience.
