The National Development Corporation (NDC) is an organization owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, which was established in 1962 by an Act of Parliament, Currently, NDC exists under the Public Corporations Act of 1992 as a development organization.
Given the changes that have occurred in domestic and global environment, NDC has re-engineered itself to cope with these changes so as to maintain its relevance to the national economic development agenda of Tanzania in close partnership with the private sector. Having re-designed its organization structure for operational efficiency and delivery, NDC now requires to fill in immediately vacant positions which exist so as to increase its capacity in internal and external service delivery.

POSITION: CORPORATE AFFAIRS MANAGER
Direct Entry Qualification.
Holder of a Masters degree in Mass Communication, journalism, marketing or Social Sciences from a recognized institution, with at least eight (8) years experience working in reputable institutions. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills in both Kiswahili and English, and working knowledge of ICT applications and graphics.
Organization Relationship
Appointing Authority: Board of Directors
Reports to: Managing Director
Supervises: Corporate Affairs Officers.
Main Duties
i) To assist and advise the Managing Director on all corporate and public affairs.
ii) To provide information requested by members of the press and the general public.
iii) To liaise with Directors in response to complaints from customers
iv) To prepare publicity articles and materials as may be determined by the Corporation
v) To provide protocol services of the Corporation
vi) To attend to issues which arise in the newspapers in liaison with other departments, and monitor and address complaints raised by the public.
vii) To prepare and implement programmer on educational awareness to the public.
viii) To carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Computer Literacy is necessary for this position
- Good knowledge of Management aspects
- Must be a good team player
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks within the applicable deadlines
- High degree of integrity with minimum supervision

Term of Engagement: Three years employment contract renewable

The post carries competitive remuneration as per NDC Salary Structure and incentive package.
POSITION: ICT OFFICER II Entry Qualification
A holder a Bachelor degree in computer science, information Technology or equivalent qualification with two (2) years relevant experience in ICT application development and ability to provide
working ICT solutions, Website/Intranet development and hosting. Good communication, interpersonal skills and high integrity are desirable skills and possession of MCSE, CCNA CCNP Certification is an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
i) To assist in designing and developing computer applications as per specifications
ii) To prepare technical specifications and all associated diagrams for the new system as may be directed.
iii) To maintain and support Corporations Website and Internet
iv) To investigate problems with the developed applications and ICT systems and infrastructure and recommend corrective action.
v) To ensure documentation of all stages in the software development process
vi) To provide training and support to users for new systems and applications.
vii) To ensure that any integration or interfaces between new and legacy system is well defined and documented
viii) To work in collaboration with other team members to achieve the goals in different projects within the Corporation.
ix) To evaluate server performance and recommend changes to the environment

xi) To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
