Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill the following vacant posts:-
SENIOR SYSTEM ANALYST II – 1 POST
Required Qualification
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Information System Telecommunications, Electronics or any other relevant field.
b) Experience: Four (4) years working experience in similar post or six years’ experience after first degree.
Duties and Responsibilities
Designing, installation, configuration, manage and maintain, University networks infrastructure (LAN, WAN).
Liaise with the ICT director and escalates incidents/problems related to University information Systems like FIS, SARIS, LIS, HRMIS, IFMS etc.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the University computers and network by monitoring performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
Install computer hardware and related application software for the purpose of maintaining safe and effective University operation including offices, classrooms, library and computer labs.
Assess and repair malfunctioning of computer hardware, printers, scanners, photocopier, UPS, LCD and other peripheral devices from different vendors.
Ensures that records of hardware facilities and equipment inventory are properly maintained and works with vendors to assist supported activities.
Trains junior IT staff/personnel on the operation of new hardware and software for the purpose of developing and updating their computer skills.
Prepares a variety of written materials such as manuals, inventory control, and standard operating procedures.
Establish and maintain an inventory of items commonly required to repair computer hardware(i.e. computer parts and supplies).
Oversee service agreements including maintenance contracts and service level agreements(SLA) with suppliers.
Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and methods; leading, guiding, and coordinating other staff.
Performs any other duties assigned by one's supervisor.

Form IV and Form VI result slips are strictly not accepted. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action.

viii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Acreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for foreign non degree certificates
