Senior Kannel & Telecoms Engineer

We're seeking a talented, and experienced engineer to enhance and support existing sms gateways and bulk sms applications and oversee mobile network connectivity.

Other requirements:
• 5+ year of experience in telecoms or software engineering role
• Hands on experience with Kannel, SMPP and mobile network connectivity
• Strong understanding and familiarity with Linux/CentOS
• PHP web development experience a big plus.
• Knowledge of PHP frameworks a big plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Hands On software development experience
• Familiar with software development lifecycle,
• Read and understand API documents and learn quickly to implement
• Communicate well and document work
• Work independently and flexibly beyond job description
• Ability to develop quick prototypes
• Take ownership of projects and lead & supervise junior developers
• Location - Dar es Salaam

Technical Requirements:
• Strong PHP, HTML, CSS abilities
• Frameworks - Smarty, CodeIgniter, Wordpress,
• MySQL, Oracle DB experience
• Integration experience with HTTP, XML, SOAP, JSON and other APIs
• Experience working with Kannel & SMPP Protocols a must
• Experience with system administration on Linux servers a must
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Rackspace etc) is a plus
