EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Kahama Shinyanga Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KASHWASA) is a fully autonomous public utility established in accordance with the Waterworks Act (Cap. 272), which has been repealed and replaced by the Water Supply and Sanitation Act, 2009. The Authority
operates a Water Supply Scheme from the Lake Victoria and supplies bulk water to other water utilities in both urban and rural areas, as per
Government Notice No. 45 of 23rd February 2007. Currently, KASHWASA supplies bulk water to Shinyanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, Kahama Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, Ngudu Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority and Water
Committees in 55 villages located in Misungwi, Kwimba, Shinyanga, Kahama and Msalala Districts. Meanwhile, KASHWASA is implementing a project to connect Kishapu town and preparations are underway to expand the bulk water transmission pipeline to Tabora
Municipality and small towns ofIgunga, Nzega, Kagongwa, Isaka and Tinde.
KASHW ASA wishes to recruit competent Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts:-
Title of the Post: Assistant Transmission Technician II
Number of Posts: Two (2)
Reporting to: Transmission Technician
Duty station: MwawiIe, Misungwi District
Terms of Service: Unspecified Period
Qualifications:
Holder of a Form IV Certificate with Trade Test Grade II in Plumbing from a recognized technical institution and at least one year practical experience in the relevant field.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspecting transmission pipeline and reporting any fault or anomaly.
Reporting and repairing water leakages.
Reporting on unauthorized water connection.
Carrying out water disconnections and reconnections timely .
Opening and closing sectional valves.
Supervising clearance of the pipeline.
Performing any duties as may be assigned by the Transmission Technician.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:-
Age Limit:
Not above 45 years for all posts.
