The Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS Foundation (BMAF) is a Trust and not for profit organization with a vision to be a hub of innovation in quality health services delivery in Tanzania. Its strategic focus areas is to strengthen prevention, care & treatment of HIV/AIDS; Maternal New Born health; Human Resource for Health and build its institutional capacity for technical leadership and sustainability.
To implement its 5 years Strategic Plan (2013 – 2018), BMAF seeks for a committed, self-driven, dynamic and competent qualified candidates to fill the vacancies below:
Programme Manager - Health Infrastructure
(Re-advertised) (2 Years Contract)
The Programme Manager will have an overall responsibility of planning, coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation and construction of health infrastructure in the designated regions and District Councils. This includes preparing and issuing quality project implementation progress reports to the Management Team and donors.
The Manager will work under the Directorate of HR and Administration and will directly supervise Programme Officer.
The ideal candidate should have a background in Building Economics, Architect, Quantity Survey and/or Civil Engineering.
He/she should have experience on supervising Consultants and/or Contractors work, and familiar with the rural settings of Tanzania.
She/he should have tactical communication skills and ability to use discretion and judgment, and also have a high level of creativity and innovations, particularly focusing on new and better ways to work. The work requires travelling at least 40% of the working period.
