KINYEREZI GAS PLANT
Reports To: Operations/Maintenance Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Primarily responsible for supervising the proper maintenance of equipment at the plant to ensure safe and optimal availability of the plant. These include and not limited to electrical & control systems, power generation and distribution systems, internal AC power distribution system, uninterruptible Power supply (UPS) and DC systems, grounding and protection, gas turbine generator control system, BOP Control, substation protection and automation systems, fire & gas detection and alarm systems, communication, black start unit and plant lighting.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, control and review maintenance programs of related installations the focus of which shall be to optimize contribution of the plant units to the grid system under operating conditions.
- Prepare and submission of accurate daily/monthly/quarterly/annual reports on maintenance activities.
- Prepare spare parts requirements for equipment and electrical & protection systems for the plant.
- Ensure company safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times when carrying out maintenance and priority shall be on the safety of personnel and company equipment.
- Ensure maintenance of mutual trust and harmony in the work place
- Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and ensure that they are always submitted on time.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must possess:
- Good Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from reputable Universities or Institutions.
- Experience with and effective use of standard office automation
- Registration with relevant professional boards will be an added advantage
