We are looking to recruit a Strategy & Operations Director who will lead the Strategic and Operations solution set into the market area and to take leadership on other business/practice management roles.
As a senior member of the assignment team, this role will also assist and lead complex assignments to help our clients realize competitive advantage from operations by optimizing their business through, strategy development, transformation and operational effectiveness. Specific area of focus include , strategy planning, operating model design, product innovation and development, sales and operations planning, strategic cost analysis and managements, business process reviews, strategic decision making and commercial and market due diligence
Roles & Responsibilities
Identify and understand key client business issues and/or industry/market developments that help to define client needs.Drive multiple industry thought leadership initiatives
Ensure teams follow risk management policies and standards on engagement delivery in accordance with standards
Lead and report on Line of Service engagement economics & metrics
Managing client relationships through positive and proactive engagement
Lead the client engagement delivery through proactive engagement, innovative approaches, issues resolution and quality delivery
As a trusted advisor, demonstrate a deep understanding of client business challenges & mobilize necessary cross-competency teams to resolve them Effectively lead in people development and manage the team to provide exceptional service
Act as role model by engaging staff through mentoring and counselling
Support leadership in building and maintaining a pipeline of competent staff in Strategy and Operations solution set
Build good cross function relationships and support key internal roles by aiding them meet firm objectives
Requirements
Education:A good first degree and relevant post graduate qualification
Master’s degree (business/accounting/finance/strategy orientation)
CPA or ACCA or other accredited accounting qualification
Job Experience:
Minimum of 8 years’ Strategy and Operations experience in consulting and 3 in a senior role or relevant experience in a senior management role in a large/global or fast growing organization
Experience outside market of operation will be an added advantage
Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with senior level clients and key industry contacts
Extensive experience in corporate and business strategy
Strategic planning and portfolio management
Extensive experience in innovation strategy: market entry, business design, growth and social strategies;
Demonstrated experience in inorganic growth strategy, corporate development/venturing, target identification and prioritization, and commercial due diligence;
Cost leadership strategy, ROI improvement, ruthless competitor strategy.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Job Knowledge Requirements:
Specialist in Strategy and Operations consulting
Demonstrable industry working knowledge and expertise in at least one the following industries – Financial Services, Government Agencies, Consumer products and Telecommunication, Energy and Mining
Experise in compliance and risk review procedures, business processes and internal controls
