Position Description:
Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) and UNICEF share a common goal of scaling-up paediatric HIV care and treatment through identification of HIV-exposed and infected children to reach children and adolescents in the SHZ of Tanzania in need of antiretroviral treatment (ART) yet not receiving it. BIPAI and UNICEF recognise community-based strategies to address challenges facing vulnerable children and adolescents - Most Vulnerable Children's Committees (MVCCs) - and their capacitation towards promoting effective interventions for at-risk youth is of paramount importance to a sustainable, integrated approach to childhood and adolescent HIV matters, To achieve the goals, UNICEF and BIPAI will collaborate with Regional and District Health Management Teams, local CTCs and health facilities, MVCCs, local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs) and other community groups to implement a two year project focusing on high-quality standards of care in case finding; integration of maternal-child HIV prevention and care; psychosocial support and life skills building for adolescents; and quality healthcare, demand creation with linkages of children and families to services, Expansion of existing best practices such as Teen Club, structured adolescent support programs, provider-initiated testing and counseling (PITC) approaches to case-finding, and human resources for health capacitating via clinical mentoring from the Baylor Centre of Excellency in Mbeya to new sites in the 6 targeted districts, These are some of the crucial strategies of the project, as is strengthening health care worker relationships between decentralized sites and the Mbeya COE. In the context of this project, Baylor-Tanzania is recruiting for the positions of project coordinator, peer educator and psychologist to help drive implementation of the project in the Southern Highland Zones (SHZ).The successful candidates will need to be dynamic self-starters that can draw together the different strands of the project, synthesise them, and push for impact and results, while ensuring overall compliance with the donor and chapter requirements,

Position summary:
*Responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, control and completion of UNICEF funded projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals,
*Duties and Responsibilities
*Lead the planning and implementation of project define project tasks and resource requirements assemble and coordinate project staff
*Manage project budget
*Manage project resource allocation plan and schedule project timelines
*Track project deliverables using appropriate tools provide direction and support to project team implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
*Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
*Project evaluations and assessment of results Organization of the Youth Development Projects including Teen Clubs and youth leadership programs Organization of the PITC trainings
*Organization of the MVCC trainings
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
*University degree in Medicine.
*Two years of relevant professional work experience.
Competencies:
*Communication, Team work, Drive for Results, Formulating Strategies and Concepts, Analyzing, Applying Technical Expertise, Planning and Organizing.
Additional Skills:
*Computer skills
*Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; Ability to work with Youths
*Excellent spoken and written English and Swahili.
