MANAGER DRILLING

12.1 Principal duties and responsibilities

• Heads the Drilling Section;

• Undertakes mineral exploration drilling on Corporation’s prospects;
• Undertakes and supervises geotechnical drilling;

• Leases drilling equipment;

• Undertakes mineral and underground water contract drilling work;
• Ensures that the maintenance and repairing of drilling rigs and other related equipment are done accordingly;
• Maintains inventory of drilling accessories and materials;

• Prepares budget for the section;

• Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates;

• Develops individual objectives/targets as part of the individual performance agreement; and
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

12.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience

Holder of Masters Degree in Geosciences mainly mining or geology with minimum experience of 8 years 3 of which must have been in a senior position

12.3 Competence among others are:-

• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills;

• Fluent in written English and Swahili;

• Ability to supervise and direct professionals; and

• Strong working knowledge of computer programs.

12.4 Remuneration

According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 9.
