This is achieved through improving companies’ transactional, process and decision support process, strategic cost management and analysis, enhancing underlying technologies, and refining finance organization designs
Roles & Responsibilities
•Develop and manage Finance, Accounting & Operations solutions while keeping abreast with technical industry issuesEngage successfully in complex and broad business issues through deep understanding of both the particular enterprise and industry specific issues
Lead projects of high complexity through projects plans, economics, monitoring and evaluating risks, budgets and delivery of projects as per required standards
Identifying and addressing client or management needs: build, maintain, and utilize networks of client or management relationships; manage resource requirements, project workflow and budgets
Ensuring engagement economics through efficient project management, billing, collection and WIP management
Lead broad range of quantitative and qualitative research, applying the full suite of both primary and secondary analytical approaches from operational benchmarking to strategic voice of the customer
Participating actively in industry thought leadership initiatives including projects with regulators and clients
Demonstrating working knowledge of risk management policies and standards and ensure engagement delivery is in accordance with those standards
Building good cross function relationships and supporting key internal roles and aiding them meet their firm objectives
Supporting leadership in building and maintaining a pipeline of competent staff in the Finance & Accounting Unit
Lead, manage, coach, develop and mentor direct reports
Strategically participate in the firm's activities
Requirements
Education:A good first degree and relevant post graduate qualification
Master’s degree (business/accounting/finance orientation)
CPA or ACCA or other accredited accounting qualification
Job Experience:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Finance & Accounting consulting in a professional services environment and 2-3 years in a senior management role.
Experience outside market of operation will be an added advantage
Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with senior level clients and key industry contacts
Demonstrated experience advising organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in transaction processing, close and consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, and internal and external reporting
Managing teams and project management engagements in a professional business services environment in shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, and talent management
Experience in utilizing business intelligence and performance management software tools
Experience in identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. benchmarks) to challenge the status quo through innovative thought leadership in the application of standard industry practice solutions for high performing finance functions
Experience in internal and external reporting, people and organization structures, performance management, budgeting and forecasting capabilities; cash flow optimization and the use of capital; and, building and maintaining cost-effective controls.
Experience in identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Job Knowledge Requirements:
Specialist in Financial and Accounting consulting
Demonstrable industry knowledge and expertise in at least one the following industries – Financial Services, Government Agencies, Consumer products and Telecommunication and Energy.
Working knowledge and understanding of compliance and risk review procedures, business processes and internal controls are desirable
