Group Telecoms Development Manager
Due to continued expansion and growth, we are currently looking for a Group Telecoms Development Manager. This position will be based in the Middle East.
The Kentz Group is currently providing a wide range of Telecommunications services in the Oil and Gas industries. These range from Engineering Services to full EPC Telecoms Integration provided to blue chip IOC’s and EPCM contractors. The range of Telecommunications Systems covers the entire spectrum including Security, ICT, RF, Communications and Marine.
Currently these services are focused in two primary markets, namely Canada and Australia and the company wishes to build on this foundation internationally.
Main Purpose of the Job
- Take full responsibility and accountability for the marketing and sales function for Telecommunications in the Kentz Group.
- Lead the development of Telecoms Development annual budget process each year.
- To develop a comprehensive knowledge of the market worldwide.
- To formulate marketing and sales policies and objectives for the company.
- To manage and develop contacts and a fully integrated Business Development service worldwide with the objective of expanding the company's operations in Telecommunications.
- Develop own personal scorecard of KPI measures that can be committed to and that support the overall group balanced scorecard.
Objectives
- Leverage the existing Telecommunications projects / Engineering activities / Capabilities to clients worldwide as a platform to expand and develop the Group Telecommunications Business.
- Through discussion with clients globally, assist in determining the global / local clients’ needs and advise on strategic changes needed in Kentz to meet these needs.
- Working closely with the existing Telecommunications project teams, lead a targeted marketing effort with key IOC / NOC / Oil and Gas and Mining EPC/EPCM majors.
- Deliver Telecoms sales budget for the Group.
- Preparation of the annual Telecoms sales budgets for the Group.
- Ensure there is support from the Regional Business Unit Managers – EPC, Construction and Technical Support Services in developing bids and proposals for new business in the Group.
- Assist and advise the Group Development Manager and the Regional Development personnel in the formulation of the company's policy on marketing and sales with respect to Telecommunications.
- Provide and maintain information systems and facilities to ensure up-to-date and reliable information about current and anticipated economic conditions pertinent to the company's operations.
- Prepare winning pre-qualification submissions and quality technical documents in support of tenders as part of the proposal teams.
- Confirm, establish and carry into effect appropriate activities for:
- The assessment of markets and potential markets.
- The preparation of all promotional and advertising programmes and promotional and sales literature.

- A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or relevant discipline.
- Extensive work experience in an Industrial Telecommunication background.
- 10 years’ work experience in the field of Project / Business Development (various countries/at Senior Manager/Director level).
