1. HEAD OF TREASURY
Reporting to the Managing Director, the role holder will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, planning and ensuring good management of cash, fund, currency, Bank and financial risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and analyzing economic capital and risk taking trends.
• Understanding and interpreting quarterly economic capital results
jointly with the Head of Finance.
• Ensuring short-term liquidity of the Bank.
• Treasury reporting and analysis (Treasury Committee, Capital committee and ALCOs)
• Controlling the funds transfer pricing process.
• Overseeing all aspects of planning including the funding plan and capital plan.
• Product control (i.e. taking charge of mapping each product with
regard to its underlying liquidity behavior characteristics and pipeline risk).
• Ensuring that the Treasury business is in line with compliance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Developing products for Corporate Banking clients and marketing them jointly with corporate relationship management.
• Working with Head of Risk and Head of Finance to assess effectiveness of hedging strategy.
• Building and enhancing the framework for returns and capital allocation both in the planning process and assuring that the bank retains flexibility to re-allocate capital during the year.
• Monitoring the units budget and ensuring that financial targets are achieved.
• Leverage on the Bank’s regional presence and large balance sheet to profitably offer treasury solutions to clients.
• Provide leadership to dealers working in the department.
• Profitably scaling foreign exchange and interest rate products to the Bank´s customers.
• Optimally manage foreign exchange and interest rate exposures in line with regulatory and Bank guidelines.
Candidate´s Profile and Qualifications:
• Bachelor´s Degree in finance, financial engineering or mathematics from a recognized institution
• Holders of professional qualifications in Accounting will have an added advantage
• Over 5 years banking experience in Treasury, 3 of which must have been at a management level.
• Significant understanding of treasury and financial markets including underlying drivers of balance sheet liquidity and drivers of capital, product behavior, risk, treasury financial planning & reporting and regulatory requirements
