JOB SPECIFICATION
He /she must possess A Masters University Degree in a healthcare field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience of direct professional healthcare.
with five years Experience in accreditation/regulatory affairs/performance
Improvement/patient safety in healthcare.
Managerial experience is desirable.
Knowledge of accreditation standards, healthcare regulations, performance improvement, patient safety and policy formulation.
Effective organizational, oral and written communication skills, problem solving, program development, computer skills, strong leadership and team building skills.
Ability to work with a variety of disciplines and levels of staff across departments and health systems is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the development of a comprehensive safety/quality performance improvement program inclusive of the analysis and trending of data related initiatives.
Provides overall direction necessary to ensure that all services are provided in accordance with standards established through national regulations and international accreditation standards, which are evidence- based.
Provide supervision and advice to the Customer Care department and ensures links from client feedback to quality improvement initiatives.
Provides overall supervision and direction to Patient Services (Reception & Medical Records) and Hospitality Services
Departments ensuring performance is enhanced by quality improvement activities.
Provide strategic oversight of proactive and reactive patient safety activities including sentinel Event Alerts in regards to the facilitation process, planning, implementation and evaluation of effectiveness of process changes.
Assesses compliance with accreditation standards and regulations related to all services in collaboration with leadership and staff.
Identifies areas of vulnerability and directs the development of strategies to enhance compliance initiative improvement.
