Senior Legal Officer - Prosecution
 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drafting/reviewing of charge sheets.
• Undertaking research on assigned legal issues.
• Collecting and collating research data.
• Liaising with investigative agencies.
• Advising on various legal briefs.
• Handling general and specialized prosecutions in court.
• Any other relevant duties assigned.

Requirements for Appointment
 

Academic and professional qualifications

• A Bachelor’s of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized University.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Law (KSL)
• Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
• Must have served for a minimum period of three (3) years as a Prosecution Counseling a similar position in the public service ; OR be a practicing Advocate in Criminal Law with relevant experience of not less than (3) years and has a current practicing license.
• Computer literate.
