1. Country Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
The Position
Reporting to the Regional CFO, the job holder is responsible for ensuring that operations/transactions within the Bank are carried out in conformity with laid down principles and guidelines and coordinating and implementing the Group financial strategy, management policy and reporting frameworks within the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide insight for all financial and business related matters to ensure shareholder value is maximized.
- Accurate and timely reporting of the monthly and annual reports of the affiliate to the Group office and accountability to local regulators, Central Bank and external auditors in providing assurance on the Bank’s operations.
- Ensure integrity of the entire financial process, adequacy and accuracy of external financial statements, management information reports and that all financial transactions of the Bank are properly executed and accounted for in accordance with laid down regulations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance and implementation of Group accounting policies and standards, in accordance with IFRS.
- Implement systems and procedures to ensure company assets are protected and adequately accounted for at all times.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and report onsignificant variations and also advise on corrective measures and follow up financial audit findings and recommendations to ensure outstanding items are duly closed.
- Ensure financial controls are in place including General Ledger controls, payments approvals and processing , account reconciliations and Fixed Assets management.
- Preparation of forecasts and budgets of the Bank and coordinating the various teams to ensure targets are achieved within the budget period.
- Provide leadership to the local Finance team ensuring they deliver on their agreed target.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies
- At least 7 years work experience in Finance function of a medium to large Bank, 3 of which must be at a Senior Manager level
- Minimum of Bachelor degree in Commerce/Business/Finance
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Knowledge in Flexcube application will be an advantage.

2. Head, Public Sector (Domestic Bank)
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Domestic Banking, the job holder will be responsible for effectively managing the Public Sector (PS) portfolio and coordinating all the relevant products, services and resources in order to achieve the agreed targets and profitability of the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Business growth in the Public sector in order to contribute to the bottom-line of Domestic Bank.
- Establish strong relationship with key customers, business partners, Central Bank, Shareholders, Local Community etc and leverage on this to gain a deeper insight of the business and develop the portfolio.
- Work closely with Credit and Risk to monitor the credit portfolio of the Unit, initiate proposals for new facilities or facility modifications and grow healthy portfolios.
- Pro-actively and timely identify potential problems and formulate appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure superior customer service in order to contribute to the overall customer experience of Public Sector customers.
- Effective coordination and communication with Branch Managers and Relationship Managers (RMs) on marketing initiatives for the business sector.
- Identify and develop new business proposals efficiently and expeditiously to ensure that potential new business opportunities with existing and new clients are not lost to competitors.
- Develop and implement marketing plans and lead marketing drives for the sector.

- A business related degree with at least 5 years in Relationship Managementof which 2 years must have been in a Financial Institution managing relationships in the above stated sector

3. Head, Public Sector (Corporate Bank)
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking, the job holder will be in charge of acquiring, developing and strengthening Public Sector (PS) relationships through effective relationship management in accordance with business objectives, with the aim of developing and growing business in this sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure business growth and customer acquisition for Public Sector Corporates.
- Focus on cash flows and deposit mobilization.
- Provide superior customer service for Public Sector Corporate clients.
- Effective coordination and communication with Branch Managers and Relationship Managers on marketing initiatives for the Public Sector.
- Identify and develop new business proposals efficiently and expeditiously to ensure that potential new business opportunities with existing and new clients are not lost to competitors.
- Assess and recommend high quality credit facilities for existing and potential clients.
- Develop and implement marketing plans and lead marketing drives for the Public Sector.

4. Branch Managers
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Domestic Banking, the job holder will manage andcontrol the branch sales and marketing in order to maximize new business opportunities and deepen existing relationships, whilst providing quality in service delivery in an efficient operation where risks are well controlled.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the branch in its entirety, setting and monitoring branch service standards.
- Mobilize deposits to exceed branch targets, build up a portfolio of asset and liability customers and cross-sell a range of Corporate and Retail products.
- Direct involvement and supervision of all revenue generation at the branch level.
- Create and maintain a cohesive and motivated team at the branch level.
- Assist in the preparation of budget and strategic plans and ensure implementation at the branch level.
- Prepare annual operational and capital budget and ensure that expected profitability objectives are achieved.
- Provide periodic reports on branch encompassing progress and prospects to Management.
- Ensure operational efficiency by ensuring proper control and enhance customer service through quick turnaround time on service delivery.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies
- A university degree plus 5 years all round banking experience in a similar position and experience in retail lending propositions preparing and processing

Reporting to the Heads of Business Units, the job holder will be responsible for the delivery of significant SME, Local Corporate (LC) and Public Sector (PS) new business growth through well-developed understanding of the key business drivers, understanding the needs of SME, LC and PS customers, leading
marketing efforts and strong change leadership to embed a pro-active sales culture that will deliver on the growth objectives and targets as required under the Bank’s business plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, development and management of SME, LC, PS banking functions.
- Deliver new business and lending book targets as required under the Bank’s business plans.
- Responsible for product development, marketing and business development opportunities.
- Grow the SME, LC, PS Loan Portfolio and Deposit base.
- Review & approve credit facilities and project loans in accordance with the guidelines of the credit policy.
- Ensure excellent & seamless service delivery and maintain support and rapport with SME, LC, PS customers and alliances.
- Participate in attracting long term financing sources for the Bank and in bank-wide strategic planning committees by representing the SME, LC, PS units.
- Contribute and participate with senior management in the proposing of strategic direction and tactical annual plans of the SME, LC, PS businesses.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies
- A graduate in Business or related discipline with at least 5 years experience in banking or financial services
- Proven record in building and developing funding and lending business
- Experience in Retail Lending, Sales and Marketing
- Sound knowledge of lending products and branch distribution structure operated by competitors
- Knowledge of risk management, credit policies and their applications.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, change management, customer management and interpersonal/communication skills
- Competence in financial analysis and monitoring and reviewing sales performance/ analysis
- Business and strategy development experience and ability to identify target market develop products and services and evaluate business opportunities
- Proven ability to drive change and to deliver results.
6. Head, Ecobank Business Services
The Position
Reporting to the Group Head EBS and Country Head, Operations & Technology, the incumbent will be responsible for Implementing EBS Policy guidance on Logistics and Transport, Procurement and Vendor Management, Facility Management and Realty/Property Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing best practice policies and procedures for EBS activities.
- Providing Health and Safety guidance to ensure that all Ecobank buildings in the affiliates are structurally sound and safe for operations.
- Managing building projects in the affiliates and providing expertise for their delivery within scope, budget and on time.
- Participate fully on all Group Contracts that Group EBS engage in now and in the future.
- High level of professionalism and ethical dealings with all Vendors and service providers.
- Managing Vendor Relationships.
- Manage and co-ordinate Procurement and Vendor Management, Facilities, Property, Logistics and Transport to ensure maximum benefit to Ecobank.
- Managing Physical Security, Protocol, Records Management, Building Maintenance, Health and Safety, Disposal of Assets etc.
- Ensure Centralization of procurement in the affiliate.
- Deliver cost effective projects so as to achieve departmental, functional and organizational strategic objectives .
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies
- First degree in Finance, Accounting, Property or Procurement Discipline
- Project and Program Management knowledge
- Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiation and communication skills
