The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has a vacancy based in Vienna, Austria, for a Research Specialist in its Research Division.
Main Responsibilities:
- Draws up Agendas for technical and other high-level experts meetings, prepares and edits working drafts of reports of the Director, Research Division, as well as summaries of proceedings and draft reports of technical meetings in coordination with the relevant RD departments as appropriate;
- Assists, coordinates and contributes in the preparation, analysis, review and follow-up of technical reports, including reports for Meetings of the Secretariat’s Governing Bodies;
- Collaborates and assists in the preparation and implementation of medium term programmes, annual work and budgetary planning, project planning and monitoring for the Division;
- Assists and contributes in preparing for and coordinating workshops, roundtables, seminars and other joint activities within the framework of energy dialogue and cooperation with external entities;
- Renders assistance/back-up in the Office of the Director on matters related to reporting on oil and energy markets as well as in coordination and follow-up of research activities of the Division;
Requirements:
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, advanced degree preferred
- 8 years of work experience; 6 years for holders of an advanced University degree.
