(b) Qualifications and Experience 
Applicants should possess the following academic and professional qualifications.
 Possession of at least an Upper Second University degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
(c) Main Duties: 
 Assessing and evaluating manuscripts 
 Gathering, recording, analysing and compiling data for making feasibility studies and evaluating the viability of proposed projects for publication.
 Translating specified works
 Communicating with authors and book dealers especially on job enquiries.
 Preparing manuscripts and follows closely the designers' layouts.
 Carrying out and edits assignments
 Checking proof corrections before returning proofs to printers
 Filling in Editor's checklist for the designer's action
 Performs any other duties that may be assigned to her/him from time to time
