Crown Agents is seeking to identify Team Leaders to provide overall leadership and management of long term donor funded projects in Sub Saharan Africa. The Team Leaders will be required to oversee provision of comprehensive technical assistance packages including the establishment, management and use of donor fund mechanisms; ensuring continuity of and support to service delivery.
Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary point of contact for donors, government and other stakeholders • Provide overall management and leadership of core project team, including development of the project policy and strategies • Ensure the effective integration of project inputs and their alignment with the project’s goals and strategic objectives • Manage, oversee and report on implementation, progress and quality of service delivery by subcontractors (e.g. NGOs and FBOs) • Supervise project staff, ensuring appropriate grant design, establishment of procedures and compliance with donor requirements for grant development, implementation and management • Liaise and support Government officials at National and subnational level
Qualifications: • Master’s level degree in management, public health, business administration or related field • More than 10 years’ experience managing donor funded programmes • Experience working and delivering results in fragile and conflict-affected states • Proven experience in senior management positions, including management of large / complex projects in developing country contexts • Experience managing and implementing multi-donor funded projects, with an understanding of various donor requirements, and particularly DFID funded projects • Experience managing or overseeing sub grants and sub contracts with implementing organisations • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team and partner organisations to achieve results • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent written and spoken English
