Programme Assistant

Naitera is a registered Community Based Organization in Kiambu county. Naitera aims to promote the wellbeing of the community throgh  Record and disseminate the history of women involved in the struggle for Independence, promote academic excellence and value of education,  promoting  women’s economic empowerment, Mobilizing support for the Elderly and Enviromental conservation.

Naitera seeks to recruit a Programme Assistant to provide support to implementation of its programmes.

Duration: 6 Months (renewable depending on availability of Funds)

Location: Lari, Kiambu County

Deadline: 24th September 2012

Type: Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of and release of cheques
• Posting and proper maintenance of the cash book and general ledger
• Filling and preparation of donor files
• Ensure proper maintenance of office petty cash register and accounting for the same together with all advances and imprest
• In collaboration with the Accountant developing projected expenditure at the beginning of every month
• Prepare consultancy contracts in conjunction with Accountant

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum CPA 2.
• At least 1 year of related work experience, preferably for a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent Computer skills: proficient in all MS Office.
