The U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa is seeking an individual for the position of Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and Reporting Officers of the U.S. Mission to the African Union. This position will be available sometime during August 2011.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and Reporting Officers, the incumbent serves as the Mission to the African Union DCM and Reporting Officers executive assistant, providing logistical, operational and administrative assistance, USAU is willing to work with the incumbent on flexible hours.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Required Education: College or University studies are required (meaning completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary study).
2. Required Prior Experience: One year experience in an administrative field is required.
3. Language Requirement: Level 4 (fluent) Speaking and Reading English is required (Will be tested).
4. Other Skills: Must be able to word process quickly and accurately. Must be familiar with standard office equipment (computer, calculator, fax, digital scanner). Must have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
5. Additional Criteria: Must possess or be able to obtain a final Secret clearance.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA

Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a PIT/FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.

EFM: Family Members at least age 18 listed on the travel orders of a Foreign of Civil Service or uniformed service member permanently assigned to or stationed to a US Foreign Service post or establishment abroad with a USG agency that is under COM authority who do not meet the definition of AEFM above.
