Qualification:
Advanced or Ordinary Level Secondary Education
Diploma or Equivalent certification in using wood and metal fabrication machinery
IT literacy preferred: Word, Excel, Email Core Competencies:
Fluent English and Kiswahili speaker/reader/writer
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural society
Ability to work independently in an organized manner, conscious of time
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position Workplace Skills:
Able to manage and work with small groups of students aged 13-18 years old.
Able to perform and explain safety procedure and protocols in detail Wood and metal fabrication experience: table saw, band saw, planner, drill press, variety of hand tools
Able to repair and re-calibrate assorted machinery, procure wood and metal resources locally
Confident, outgoing personality required due to classroom based nature of the role
Able to provide individual/small group instruction on wood/metal machinery use.
