Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) is Tanzania's sole Standards body, formerly established by the Standards Act No, 30f 1975, which was repealed arid replaced by the Standards hit No.2 of 2009. It is aParastatal Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Bureau is looking for suitably qualified, competent, dynamic and committed Tanzanians to fill the above mentioned vacancies:
Qualification and experience
Holder of BSc. degree in Chemical and Processing Engineering or related field from recognized institution. Should be ready to work in any of our offices in the country.
Duties and responsibilities
Studies all aspects pertaining to inspection, quality' management and certification Studies and implements the laboratory safety procedures and regulations
Carries out analysis of samples as may be assigned by supervisor / trainer
May be appointed. to conduct quality assurance inspections
Assists industries in all matters related to quality assurance
Participates In preparation, implementation, maintenance and review of quality system
Carries out verification of supplies and services
Carries out corrective and preventive actions
Assists in safety and serviceability of equipment and apparatus
Assists in the preparation, publication and dissemination of information
Any other related duties as may be assigned by Head of Section
