Our client Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSDT) is a trust funded by five international development partners; DANlDA, CIDA, DFID, SIDA, the Bill and ‘Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) as well as the Government of Tanzania. The FSDT’s goal is to generate sustainable improvements in the livelihoods of poor households through reduced vulnerability to shocks increased incomes and employment achieved through providing greater access to financial services for more men, women and businesses. The FSDT has worked on a number of initiatives that have generated a wealth of information and knowledge that it believes is beneficial to the market.
The FSDT intends to appoint the Programme Administrator (PA) who will participate fully and contribute to the effective management of the FSDT and the rest of the staff and Cultivate a team culture necessary for the achievement of FSDT’s goals and objectives. The PA will report directly to the Technical Manager and will focus primarily on:
• Providing support to the Technical Director (TD), Technical Manager (TM) and Finance Manager (FM) in setting up contracts and grant agreements for FSDT, including agreeing performance targets with FSDT clients;
• Provide support across technical projects in remote access finance, enterprise finance and agricultural/rural finance projects;
• Support Project Specialists on monitoring and evaluation activities as directed by the TM and TD;
• In consultation with the TO and TM ensure relevant reports are distributed as necessary; and
• Carry out other project specific tasks assigned by the TM.

Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Programme Administrator will be accountable and responsible for, among others to:
• Support in selecting consultants and contractors needed to implement FSDT·funded projects;
• Leading in setting up contracts and grant agreements for FSDT,including agreeing performance targets with FSOTclients;
• Track all payments under FSDTcontracts and funding agreements and highlight any problem in contracts or payments to the TO,TMor other executive as appropriate, and to the FM;
• Provide support to the FSDTs overall monitoring and evaluation process, including reviewing performance targets and alerting the m, TMand others to significant variances;
• Ensure that performance reports are submitted by investees and reviewed on time;
• Support themand TMin undertaking occasional field visits as part of the monitoring of the FSDTprojects and also carry out spot checks from time to time;
• In consultation with themensure relevant FSDT reports are prepared and distributed as necessary;
• Perform research tasks delegated to by the m, TMand other specialists;
• Support preparation of papers and presentations to disseminate knowledge and other information resulting from FSOTprojects and programmes to a wide range of interested parties; and
• Carry out other project specific tasks assigned by the TD.

Qualifications and experience required
• Minimum ‘ofa first degree level or equivalent in Finance/ Accounting, or other.relevant fields.
• At least 3 years’ previous work experience. Experience in the financial sector will be an added advantage.
• Experience in project or programme administration.
• Good planner, clear and logical thinker, a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate (especially MSOffice and MS Projects).
• Must be a Tanzanian national. Women are strongly encouraged to apply although appointment will be purely on merit.
