Barrick Goldstrike Mines, Inc. seeks a Senior Ventilation Engineer, Underground Division in Carlin, NV to design, implement, operate, monitor, and control the ventilation system for the Underground Division, in order to maintain strict compliance with all airflow safety standards at the internal, state, and federal levels. Maintain proper climatic and contaminant levels underground, including DPM.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Physical Science or related field or equivalent and at least five (5) years of ventilation engineering experience on a mine using thermodynamics, heat transfer, refrigeration, air conditioning, fluid mechanics, and rotating/turbo machinery, such as axial flow and centrifugal fans. Prior experience must also include constructing, maintaining, and continuously field calibrating a computer model to predict the performance of the ventilation network for long-range mine planning utilizing AutoCAD software.
