Maintenance Officer – Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Our client is a food processing company manufacturing innovated therapeutic product to treat several type of malnutrition within the region.

The company sells its products to Tanzanian Humanitarian stakeholders and also and mainly in Kenya, Burundi, Somalia, Zambia, DRC to UN agencies, Ministries of Health, NGO’s or Foundations.

The maintenance officer will have to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the entire equipment of the company as well as on the building.

Qualifications

ü Degree/ Diploma in relation to Electricity, Mechanics, Engineering and industrial maintenance from a credited institution.

ü Experience of 2 or more years in food processing company.

ü Strong experience in electricity, mechanics or as a full technician.

ü Knowledge and experience in food industry will be an added advantage.

ü Must have leadership skills.

Duties/ Responsibilities

ü To organize, plan and follow up preventive and corrective maintenance – forecast and organize the material and human requirements.

ü To direct and follow up operations in cases of breakdown, analyze the problem and propose solutions to guarantee required quantities and deadlines.

ü Plan, organize and follow up import and export of goods and services of the company.

ü Identify the potential technical improvements in order to optimize the installations.

ü Draw up maintenance schedules (costs, deadlines), identify and recommend changes and improvements (organization, materials, tooling) report on the maintenance measures taken (cost, time …)

ü Manage the spare parts stocks and orders

ü Define and write procedures, control methods, inspections, for an industrial production system respecting safety standards

ü Apply appropriate quality procedures and rules

ü HR management (recruitment, trainings needs follow up, meeting set up.)

ü Be able to replace the shift supervisor if necessary
