The Global Advisor on Faith Partnerships on Health, HIV, Gender and Child Protection willprovide technical and strategic leadership and direction on the development and implementation of WV's Church and Faith Partnerships project models and engagement on HIV, Health, Gender and Child Protection, as part of the Global HIV and Infectious Diseases Team (part of the Global Health and WASH team). You will ensure that WV’s Christian identity is affirmed through the development and implementation of project models related to key issues which have a negative impact on the well-being of children, in partnership with churches and faith communities. You will also ensure adequate capacity and resources to effectively scale up and implement these project models in all the WV regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide Church/faith partnership strategic direction and scale up plans in close collaboration with sector/department leaders (Christian Commitments, Health, Gender, Child Protection), regional offices/learning centres and Global Centre for Integrated Strategy and Ministry, responding to Global, Regional and National strategies
- Management/Technical: Provide leadership for Church/Faith partnership project model development (in collaboration with Christian Commitments) related to identified technical focus areas (Health and WASH, G&D and CP) and manage technical support for integrated implementation in all the regions.
- Capacity Building: Lead global and regional capacity building initiatives to implement the developed project models (4 different versions of Channels of Hope on HIV, Gender, Maternal Child Health and Child Protection), in order to build and sustain capacity at NO and field levels, aligned with regional and national strategies.
SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:
- Post graduate degree in Theology, Development, Medicine, or Public Health Science
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English and ability to communicate cross-culturally and within inter-faith settings
- Minimum of 5 years experience in community development work, preferably in the HIV/AIDS and/or health field
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English and ability to communicate cross-culturally and within inter-faith settings. Able to build and manage relationships both internally and externally at high level, including faith leaders of various world religions.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in facilitation and mentoring of adult learning events (training, mentoring, development of training and mentoring tools and processes
