Sales Manager - Advertising / FMCG / Communications (Advertising)

CA Global: Advertising/Communications (Africa Position) has an international client who is looking for an experienced Sales Manager, preferably within the Advertising and Communications industry. This position will be based in Tanzania.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dealing with all clientele at all levels, right up to CEO level.
To be able to sell to a cross section of the industry from media directors to media planners, from marketing executives to marketing directors.
To maintain a continual high level of service to the advertising industry, especially within their allotted portfolio of clients.
To continually promote the Company and offer excellent after sales service.
Must attain individual budgets.
Attend sales meetings at least once a week, which may continue after hours.
To attend workshops, functions and any other company related excursions that may continue after normal working hours.
Co-ordinate and implement Roadstar and Citilite rotations.
Manage and lead the Tanzania sales department including the setting of sales targets and monitoring of sales performance.
Report any operational complaints from clients and ensure that they are rectified.
Oversee production traffic and ensure timeous flighting of campaigns.
Assist the General Manager as and when required with sales related issues.
Must uphold the Company image and retain confidentiality at all times.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Reference from advertising agencies is an advantage.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to adapt to change.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work in a competitive environment.
Proficient in MS Office package.
Valid Driver’s License.
Strong communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to investigate and source new clients.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Media Sales an advantage.
