MAIN PURPOSE: To identify and manage investment risks ensuring optimal balance between risk and return.

• Prepare reports to ExCo and the Board on the status of investment risks in the Fund’s investment portfolio on a quarterly basis.
• In conjunction with the Investment department, monitor the existing investment portfolio, identifying current and potential risk and recommend appropriate mitigants.
• Determine which investment proposals should be approved by management depending on the level of exposure vis-a-vis the returns.
• Perform sensitivity analysis to determine the level of volatility in the proposed investments and make appropriate recommendations to management.
Requirement:
Qualifications;
• A postgraduate qualification in risk management or Finance would be an added advantage.
• Graduate degree in Accounting, Business, Statistics or Mathematics with professional qualifications in CPA, CFA, ACCA or equivalent.
• A postgraduate qualification in risk management or Finance would be an added advantage.
Experience;
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a busy organization preferably in fund management/corporate finance, financial risk management, Treasury, and other related fields,

JOB TITLE: LEGAL OFFICER
REPORTS TO: LITIGATION MANAGER
MAIN PURPOSE: To provide litigation services to the Fund.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB
• Attend courts of Judicature to represent the Fund.
• Handle negotiations with parties in respect to all matters of a contentious and non contentious nature.
• Handle alternative dispute resolutions like mediation, arbitration and/or conciliation.
• Prepare Legal opinions on the merits/demerits of Fund matters.
• Draft all Court documents relevant to the cases.
• To prepare and maintain periodic reports on the status of all cases filed in Court.
• Liaise with other departments on the required information for prosecuting or defending claims.
• Liaise with external Counsel on required information/evidence for Court purposes.
• Debt recovery of audited arrears from defaulting employers
• Prepare periodic reports on performance of external Counsel on matters assigned to them for submission to Legal Counsel.
• Monitor and maintain a data base of recovered audited arrears and contributions.
• Advise management on the most suitable legal action to be taken on a case by case basis.
• Recovery of dishonoured cheques/ instruments along side the in-house police officer from the Criminal Investigation Directorate.

JOB TITLE: LEGAL COUNSEL- ADVISORY (1)
REPORTS TO: LEGAL ADVISORY SERVICES MANAGER
MAIN PURPOSE: To provide legal advisory services to the Fund and all its stakeholders.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB
• Prepare comprehensive legal opinions for the, Legal Advisory Manager and Corporation Secretary.
• Assist the Legal Advisory Manager and Corporation Secretary as requested.
• Render legal advice to stakeholders on all legal issues.
• Conduct research and advise the Legal Advisory Services Manager on the application of information obtained.
• Render legal advice on the legal issues pertaining to compliance with the provisions of the NSSF Act.
• Prepare statutory instruments required.
• Attend to queries/complaints from employers and NSSF members..
• Attend various management committee meetings as legal advisor, as assigned by the Legal Advisory Services Manager.
• Render support to Commercial Department in member sensitization.
• Review and advise on appropriate special conditions of contract contained in standard bid documents.
• Conduct due legal diligence on all contracting parties.
• Draft contracts and Agreements on behalf of the Fund catering for the User department interests and safeguarding the Fund’s interests.

JOB TITLE: HEAD OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
REPORTS TO: DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
MAIN PURPOSE:
As a key member of the Management Team, this position is responsible for development and implemention of marketing and communications strategies to ensure the NSSF brand, products and services are successfully managed lor effective market penetration and market share growth.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB:
1) Develop and execute communications strategies for NSSF corporate brand, products and services.
2) Ensure articulation and consistent communication of the Fund’s desired image and position both internally and externally.
3) Responsible tor editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Fund publications.
4) Develop short and long term plans and budgets for marketing/public relations programs and activities, monitor progress, and evaluate performance.
5) Commission appropriate and relevant market research and develop strategies to counter competition to ensure Fund’s market leadership.
6) Develop and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA) with all service providers (e.g media houses, advertising and, research agencies) to ensure efficiency, value for money and timely delivery against set targets.
7) Develop a branding strategy to ensure and promote visibility, consistency and a positive image of the Fund
8) Develop and implement integrated PR plans to support and supplement various brand and product events and activities e.g. launches, sponsorships, promotions in line with organizational objectives.
9) Develop and execute a coherent, effective Corporate Social Responsibility strategy that portrays the Fund as a good corporate citizen.
10) Develop a strategy for effective management of key stakeholder relations in order for the Fund to obtain a credible lobby platform for its positions on various issues.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing or any other related
• Masters degree in a relevant field.
• Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditation or Post graduate qualification in Marketing.
Experience:
• Minimum of ten years work experience with five years at senior management level in a large organization.
• Demonstrated experience in design and execution of marketing, communication and public relations activities.
