The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), provides training for over 2,000 students. CUHAS is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person to fill the following position;
ESTATE OFFICER
Qualifications
Holder of an Advanced Diploma or its equivalent in either Architecture, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, Land Management and Valuation from a recognized Institution or any other relevant or related field. With at least Four years working experience after acquiring the Advanced Diploma.
Must be thirty (30) years of age and above.
Duties .
To supervise minor maintenance works qn CUHAS buildings; houses and 'offices. ,
To prepare budget(s) for minor maintenance works.
To deal with conditioning, and upgrading of the surrounding of the university's buildings.
Working out new approaches in conditioning and maintaining playing fields.
Supervision of good maintenance of University buildings, cleanliness and sanitation.
Draw up a long term programme of the general improvement of the landscaping of the campus.
Designing decorative floricultural plans and ' implementation.
Assisting in the drawing and interpretation of the architectural plans for landscaping and the relevant operations,
Supervising the good maintenance of grounds including cleaning and disposal of rubbish on the campus.
Keeping equipment in good conditions and ordering replacement necessary to keep operating cost at minimum
make sure properties are being used for their intended purpose
deal with tenancy applications and monitor tenancy agreements
To ensure compliance with the relevant building and land requirement laws
To keep all the building and related records up to date
To assist in preparing building, classrooms, office and laboratory sketches
To conduct regular inspections of the university grounds
To supervise junior staff in the department
To perform any other duties assigned by one's superiors,
