Job Description | Tasks: • Work closely with EQUIP-T team members in support of community mobilisation and engagement in school improvement • Support districts in developing community engagement, voice and accountability • Support the development of the role and capacity and the activation of School Management Committees • Generate support for the programme and develop strategic alliances through leading effective advocacy efforts at all levels • Communicate success, lessons learnt, programme best practice and evidence of impact • Ensure a gender-positive and quality-oriented perspective is mainstreamed and gender sensitive language is used in all programme communications Results: Sustained commitment to change and expectations of the education system, supported from grass-roots stakeholders upwards, resulting from increased levels of awareness, engagement and ownership among stakeholders. |
Candidate Specification | Knowledge, essential competencies, skills and qualifications: • Degree in communications, social PR or relevant field • Knowledge of communication tools used for development • Extensive experience of designing communications initiatives for development • Experience of working in countries of Africa, and in countries with limited access to written information APPLY |
