Qualification:
Candidate Profile
University degree or equivalent operational/technical qualifications
Managerial experience of not less six (6) years in Airport Safety, Security/ Operations in the aviation industry.
High degree of analytical skills and operational/technical knowledge of airport
Wide knowledge of ICAO standards in regard to airport Operations, Security, Safety and Infrastructure
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build consensus
Masters degree in business management or related field will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should be independent, self motivated, proactive and reliable
Broad Function
The Compliance Manager is responsible for providing advisory services and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of standards in all matters related to airport design, construction, maintenance, operations, security, safety and airport safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the application and administration of the principles and procedures of the Safety Management System within departments and ensure that proper records and documentation are kept and updated;
Monitor, observe and survey every aspect of airport operations and functions to assess the levels of compliance with the safety management principles and procedures as required by the Aerodrome Manual and issue advice as necessary
Prepare and conduct audit for KIA operations including the airport management, airlines, handling companies and general aviation services providers.
Prepare, compile and submit quarterly, semi annual and annual reports on safety and management standards.
Liaise with government agencies, contractors and regulatory authority (TCAA) for any proposed changes on the physical structures and layout that are likely to extend above the obstacle limitation surfaces.
Conduct investigation on incidents and accidents occurring at KIA that are not notifiable Aircraft Accidents and serious incidents,
Coordinate and conduct in-house training on safety management and standards to airport personnel and advice on safety and compliance standards.
