The Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium (KANCO) is a national membership network of NGOs, CBOs, and FBOs, Private Sector actors and Research and Learning Institutions involved in or that have interest in HIV & AIDS and TB activities in Kenya. Its membership is open to all registered NGOs, CBOs, FBOs, PLHIV support organizations, Learning Institutions, public and private sector organizations in Kenya. The organization also provides for associate membership that includes individuals and International Non-Governmental Organization partners. Currently, KANCO has a membership of over 1000 organizations and numerous individuals that are networking, collaborating and are bound together by a common vision of a healthy Kenyan people with secure and sustainable access to HIV, TB and other public health care services.
KANCO’s overall goal is to provide leadership among civil society organizations contribution towards realization of universal access targets in Kenya. Its main focus is on three main strategic areas that include (a) Community Systems Strengthening (b) Improving policy for HIV/AIDS and TB (c) Institutional Systems Strengthening.
- DEPUTY DIRECTOR
Job Summary
The Deputy Director will provide programme and financial leadership in management of KANCO’s programs and operations in collaboration with the Programme and Financial Technical Director. Key areas of responsibilities will include strategic direction and management, program coordination and support, Technical support, coordination of Regional offices, Advocacy and Policy Development. The deputy director will also oversee fundraising and resource mobilization initiatives, knowledge management, risk management and compliance. He/she will be expected to play a key role in KANCO’s governance and management.
- FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR
The Finance and Administrative director will provide financial and administrative leadership in KANCO’s programmes and projects. He/she will be expected to provide mentorship and support to the organisation and granted finance staff uniting with KANCO. Specifically, the job holder will be responsible for the functions of Procurement; Accounting; Budgeting; Budget monitoring; Internal control, Compliance, Reporting and Grants administration and Human Resource.
