Company Description:Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. The University also operates in its historic downtown facilities, offering cultural events, graduate classes, and continuing education. Student housing is available in both downtown Zamalek and New Cairo. Job Description:The Department of Law invites applications for a tenure-track position in Law and Market Governance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning in Fall 2013. Applicants should have a research and teaching specialization in public regulatory and/or market related private law regimes, especially from a comparative and/or international law perspective. The Search Committee is eager to review applications of individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, plus an interest in living and working in the Middle East. The American University in Cairo is committed to recruiting a diverse faculty to complement the diversity of its student body.
Requirements:JD/SJD or Ph.D. is required by date of appointment. A potential for excellence in research is expected. In addition to teaching and research, the successful candidate will also participate in departmental and University wide service.
