Position Description:
HOTEL MANAGER- ZANZIBAR GRAND PALACE
Responsibilities
· Complete all daily administration tasks as required by the top management
· Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
· Maintaining statistical and financial records and send report to the top management daily
· Setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
· Analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
· Training and monitoring staff
· Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
· Dealing with customer complaints and comments
· Addressing problems and troubleshooting
· Supervising and controlling all departments
· Ensuring security is effective
· Carrying out inspections of property and services
· Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
· Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests’ comfort and safety
· Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
· Propose and implement effective marketing strategies to maximize room occupancy levels
· Ensure that all bedrooms/conference rooms and areas under your responsibility are checked thoroughly at the end of every shift, confirming that they meet our standards
Qualifications
The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and support staff
Ability to respond effectively to changing demands
Experience: A minimum of seven years’ experience in hotel or hospitality industry required.
Education: Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in institutions' management, hospitality services, foods and nutrition, business administration or other related field.
Core competencies: Communication, Fiscal Management, Management and Planning
