The Capacity Development Advisor is a member of the Global People & Culture Capacity and Leadership Development (CALD) team which is the reference point for strategic thinking and standards for staff learning and development across the Partnership. It is responsible for introducing and supporting the use of tools, practices and resources that enhance capacity development practice and skill development - modeling and promoting effective models of learning.
We are looking for a highly skilled learning and development practitioner who can provide technical and thought leadership, and in doing so will advocate and role-model excellence in staff capacity development, to help CALD achieve its strategic objectives.
You will have a proven track record in a fast paced, complex and ideally global organisation, you will have a desire to help others and model ethics in line with the Christian foundations and ethos of the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead the design and implementation of capacity development solutions that enable the professional development of key staff and leaders across the Partnership and which model blended learning methodology
- Lead the design, development and ongoing coordination of a Partnership-wide architecture and other mechanisms that enable the collection, storage, sharing and evaluation of learning assets (e.g. curricula) to help increase capacity development efficiency and effectiveness and nurture a culture of learning
- Actively contribute to and influence the design of capacity development principles, protocol and standards and their application to ensure greater quality and impact of WV capacity development initiatives
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Graduate or post-graduate qualification in either Education, Human Resources, International Development, Organisational Development, or related areas
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in staff capacity building and/or leadership development, preferably within an international development context. Five years or more is preferred
- Experience in leading and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience in eLearning and/or Knowledge Management
