(Interim) Manager Solutions Analysis

Function
The interim Manager Solutions Analysis is responsible for organizing and supervising research on sustainability initiatives in the food and beverage industry. The purpose of this work is to gain a better understanding of the relevant sustainability standards, multistakeholder initiatives and corporate programmes which are and can be applied by food and beverage companies around the world to address sustainability issues in their supply chains.
You will work with a team of researchers (volunteers), who analyse sustainability initiatives, to give them directions, guide them through the research process, and provide feedback and advice on their fact sheets and researches. You will also be expected to communicate internally to other departments about research assignments in progress and completed. You are expected to ensure that the project produces succinct and accurate assessments of initiatives and experts relevant to Fairfood’s work and ensure that Fairfood is able to identify meaningful steps towards sustainability versus greenwashing initiatives. You will also be responsible for developing a database of relevant expert organisations and engaging in fundraising activities.
Your competencies
You have a university degree and some work experience relating to, or in depth knowledge of sustainability standards and initiatives. You are familiar with sustainability standards and up to date on developments related to the field of certification labels and sustainability initiatives.
You already have experience with project management, coordinating and supervising multiple (research) activities, and meeting strict deadlines. You possess excellent planning and organisation skills and have the ability to balance many small tasks at the same time. You take initiative and are highly results-oriented, able to set priorities and organise your own work and the work of others.
You will also need to successfully manage and motivate volunteers to produce high quality results on a tight deadline.
Obviously, you have a close affinity with Fairfood’s goals and are able to help partners translate these objectives into their own work.
Applicants should already be in possession of a valid permit to work in the Netherlands. Preference will be given to candidates who can start immediately.
What do we offer?
We offer a versatile position within a young international organisation, providing sufficient opportunities to achieve results. Due to our commitment to spend our funds on achieving our mission, the salaries within Fairfood are not excessive. The annual salary is non-negotiable and fixed at € 32 037.86 gross, based on a 40-hour work week. In addition, we offer a gross personal budget amount, in lieu of pension, of €2 563.03 per annum. Work-home travel costs are reimbursed.
