Position Description:
The School of Public Health and Social Sciences invites applications from suitable qualified and competent individuals to fill the following post.
Assistant Administrator
Main Functions and Duties:
Responsible for the overall administrative aspect of the office
Coordinate various Master programmes and Undergraduate programme teaching activities within the School.
Planning and scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing hard and soft copy files and managing projects.
Make follow up of fees payments and update the School management on students with outstanding payments.
Responsible for ensuring that various documents and publications are up to date
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory; assist in ordering of supplies and equipments where necessary, ensuring payment of bills, timely maintenance etc.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean of School.
Qualification and Working Experience
A University Graduate specialized in Public Administration, Business administration, Management and any other related discipline.
Experience in using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents using appropriate software package (word/excel/power point)
Strong leadership, team building, organizational, and customer service orientation.
High levels of personal effectiveness, particularly co-ordination, organization and the ability to focus on achieving deadlines, ensuring that timetables/project plans can be met
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and working with donor-supported programs will be an added advantage.
