The Area Coordinator will manage the field office and team. The programming is focused on community case management for childhood illnesses (malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea) with nutrition, and new programs in Health Information Management Systems, and Health System Strengthening.
The successful candidate will:
At least three (3)years experience working with an INGO in a developing country; Demonstrated experience in programme management and management of field teams; Experience of managing security in insecure environments; Experience managing grants from multiple donors; Excellent knowledge of communicable disease control programmes; A broad interest in communicable disease control and particularly community based healthcare and health systems strengthening. A pro active self-starter with proven leadership skills; Excellent written and spoken English; Strong computer skills particularly Microsoft Office; Masters degree in Public Health, Project Management or a related discipline.
