ABANTU for Development
An opportunity to strengthen a range of programs that support the equal participation of women and men in sustainable development, wealth creation and governance. You will help ensure that all activities are underpinned by a sound program management framework and relevant guidelines.
ABANTU for Development works with a range of non-government organisations to create conditions whereby women and men can participate equally in sustainable development and decision making.
It addresses gender issues across four program areas: wealth creation, conflict, health and good governance. Activities under these thematic areas include rights education, training and research into gender-based violence and HIV/AIDS.
An AVID volunteer has been requested to work with the ABANTU senior management team to strengthen systems and processes across the entire program management cycle. This includes the development of guidelines, tools and documents to inform program management.
