ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
Job Job Title: Assistant Accountant (1 Position)
Required Qualifications and Related Experiences
Holder of ATEC II/NABOCE/Ordinary Diploma with working experience of at least four years
Duties and Responsibilities
Receives and keeps in proper custody all incoming bills and claims
Maintains primary books of accounts
Prepares payment requisitions
Maintains primary books of accounts

Performs any other duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time.
Job Title: Accountant (1 Position)
Required Qualifications and Related Experiences
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance , Bookkeeping and Commerce , Accountancy, Business Administration ( with specialization in Accounting and Finance). Masters Degree in relevant field will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares University operational Budget
Prepares financial statements of income and expenditure at appropriate times
Administers use of University funds, insurance and royalties
Controls capital and recurrent expenditure
Prepares and answers timely payment of salaries and emoluments
Maintains up to date financial information on revenue and expenditure
Oversees arrangements for the purchase of equipments and materials (other than furniture) required by the University including their effective use
Oversees arrangements for the maintenance of an inventory of furniture and equipment held by the University
Maintains up to date and transparent Management information system on all accounts at all levels
Coordinates the purchases and effective management of stores
Insures all properties and assets of the University
Periodically reports on all income and expenditure transactions
Performs any other function as may from time to time be assigned to him/her by his/her supervisor
Job Title: Human Resources Officer (1 Position)
Required Qualifications and Related Experiences
>Holders of Master’s degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration (HR) with at least four years working experience in a similar position. A Postgraduate Diploma or professional in relevant field will be an added advantage.
Strong Computer skills with considerable experience with MS Office, internet, etc
Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares a human resources strategic plan for the University
Develops effective human resource policies and procedures for recruitment, training, deployment, development, and retention of high quality human resources
Develops comprehensive human resources management procedures manual
Carries out regular human resources audit and inventory of current and needed skills
Prepares a staff performance appraisal system and monitor its implementation
Prepares long and short term human resources training programs
Develops and maintain policies for maintenance of good industrial relations
Monitors and liaise with other employers to ensure the University’s remaining competitive in the labour market
Develops and advises on suitable remuneration packages
Develops and administer periodic performance and salary reviews
Prepares, coordinate, and consolidate annual work plans and budgets
Enforces and ensure uniform understanding and application of staff regulations and human resource policies
Interprets and trains staff on human resources policies and staff regulations
Prepares human resources projections and plans
Prepares quarterly reports for the University management meetings
Performs any other duties as may be directed by the Management
Job Title: Secretary (1 Positions)
Required Qualifications and Related Experiences
Form IV certificate OR Form VI with principal passes in English and Kiswahili with credit passes in Kiswahili and English, plus 100/120 w.p.m. shorthand in English or Kiswahili and 50 w.p.m. typing, tabulation and manuscript stage III, secretarial duties and office procedure stage III and has completed Advanced Computer Course
from a recognized institution

Types letters, minutes, notices, bulletins, circulars, certificates, charts and stencils
Prints reports, letters etc
Takes proper care of all machines under his/her charge and makes sure they are used for official work only

Makes sure there are all necessary facilities for proper job performance

Co-ordinates all office needs and requirements
Receives and distributes letters to respective officials
Receives and directs visitors
Keeps minutes/records of meetings
Arranges and attends meeting where necessary and writes minutes
Receives telephone calls and take messages
Ensures expedient, accurate and clean execution of duties
Ensures that copies of letters are filed in relevant files

Ensuring cleanliness of the office(s) she works and those of the officers he/she works with

SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFITS
All positions carry salaries as per University salary structure and will vary depending on the applicant’s qualification and working experiences.
