The role
Reporting to Associate Country Director, you will be responsible in leading, updating and maintenance and delivery of the Tanzania funding strategy to enable the full delivery of a programme in line with the Tanzania Joint Country Analysis and Strategy and annual operating plans. Develop funding strategy for Tanzania’s programmes and manage existing significant funding processes, manage donor contracts, support the development of long term quality proposals and seek multi- year funding from potential donors whenever possible. Providing a consistency in relationships with institutional donors, supporting programme team in planning and managing restricted funds, continuously work on establishing relationships with existing and new donors. Lead in securing restricted funding from existing donors and new donors provide updates on guidelines and procedures and work closely with programme managers and coordinators to ensure greatest use of restricted funds. Strengthen the capacity of colleagues across the country in the planning, securing and management of restricted funds through workshops, material development and accompaniment.
The person
A candidate envisaged for this role will have a significant experience based skills in planning, securing, and managing funds and have an Understanding and experience of working with institutional donors such as SIDA, EC, DFID and UN. Excellent in documentation and writing skills with ability to produce clear and timely written proposals and reports. Experience of working in the field and understanding of programme issues and knowledge on project management tools, numeracy, budgetary and financial skills. Demonstrate a commitment to gender and diversity issues. Possess sound skills in capacity building in relation to fundraising and programme management. Self motivated, target – driven and an entrepreneurial approach to fundraising opportunities.
Country Logistics Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic, qualified and experienced Logistics Manager to enhance the impact of our program work in Tanzania.
The role
Reporting to Finance and System Manager, the person will be leading and managing all procurement systems and procedures for both Dar es salaam and field office including procurement planning and processing, Take the responsibility for the overall structure of the logistics team, Maintaining an overview of the logistic needs of Tanzania programme, undertaking all logistical support to both our program and partners, Establish and implement proper fleet management procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and optimum utilization of resources, , office services and service providers management, field office logistics and administration support, managing and developing logistics and supplies plan aiming at enhancing supplies lead time and value for money.
To achieve this role, the person will be required to analyse and appraise programme budget, understanding of logistic procedures and best practices, be able to maintain close link with suppliers and service providers and understanding of legal and regulatory environment affecting Oxfam work to ensure timely and compliance to laws and regulations.
The person
A candidate envisaged for this role will hold a university degree or equivalent preferably coupled with supplies and logistics professional qualification such as CSP (T), with extensive experience in supplies or logistics related skills in reputable organisation. Experience in working with International NGO’s will be an added advantage. The person should demonstrate sense of focus, ability to work independently with minimum supervision, understanding of project cycle and programme management, ability to use computerised logistics systems, high level of initiatives with good communication and interpersonal skills, team working and ability to work in a culturally diverse organisation.
Economic Justice Programme Manager

The role
Reporting to Programme Coordinator Economic Justice, you will provide overall effective leadership, development and management of all aspects of the Shinyanga Economic Justice programme and staff for high quality programme delivery and visibility of Economic Justice Programme. Lead in building effective and focused partnership and team – based relationships with staff, partners and leaders at all levels and contribute to the leadership of work at district level and national level. Lead the Shinyanga team to translate and communicate local policy and advocacy issues into national and global campaign programme designs and facilitate linkage with national advocacy organisations and networks. Ensure strategic planning of projects in the economic justice programme and coordinate development of project work plans to se integration of gender, social and economic justice plans. Plan and coordinate Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and learning activities and events based on the Economic Justice logic model and indicators. Ensure mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS and gender into the programme’s work. Regularly monitor the drought and food security situation in the district and collaborate with the programme coordinator to ensure timely assessment an appropriate response to emergencies. Ensure systems in place and programme staff adhere to policies, regulations, procedures and systems according to Oxfam standards.
The person
A candidate envisaged for this role will have a degree level of education in social science or natural science. Strong project cycle, project coordination and project management skills and extensive practical experience in management and complex programmes. Knowledge of a programme sector such as agriculture, water, livelihood and vulnerability, gender etc gained through experience and/or qualification. Understanding of participatory development approaches and understanding of gender issues and actively committed to gender equity and mainstreaming. General administration, procurement, asset management, effective human resource allocation, creative and strategic thinking skills. Strong financial management and control skills. Sensitive to cultural differences and the able to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts. Excellent team work skills and the ability to build relations both internally and externally. Excellent oral and written communication in English including the ability to write clear reports and proposals.
