Scope: The Deputy Director for Tanganyika is responsible for the management of the Kalemie field office and 2 antenna offices within the district and has oversight of all field activities in the district of Tanganyika in the Katanga Province. The DD is a key position on the Provincial Senior Management Team.
IRC in Tanganyika implements programs in health, education, and community-driven reconstruction (CDR). The DD is responsible for the implementation of quality programs in the district and the management of quality core support services: security, administration, human resources, logistics and finance. The DD in coordination with the Provincial Director is responsible for maintaining excellent working relations with partner and counter-part agencies at the District level, including local representatives of the DRC government as well as active participation in UN and INGO coordination fora. Under the direct supervision of the Katanga Provincial Director, the Deputy Director for Tanganyika will provide leadership and coordination to project implementation, associated support services, human resource management and will play a key role in all planning and fundraising efforts for the IRC programs in the Katanga Province.
This position reports to the Katanga Provincial Director and manages a staff of 6 international and about 150 national staff.
Overview of Responsibilities: management of support services including finance, logistics, administration, and human resources; program implementation and quality assurance; security management; representation and leadership with various stakeholders and senior management team engagement.
