Director of Finance and Administration
The Financial Management Specialist is responsible for managing office finances, financial reporting, accounting, and compliance, including field-based procurement and local accounting.
Qualifications: • Advanced degree in business administration and management; with certification in accounting. Proven expertise with USG financial management and budgeting laws, regulations and practices. • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in finance in the non-profit, private and/or government sector. • Experience in managing large annual operating budget of approximately $10-15 million per year. • Demonstrated ability to work with host government and cooperating partners in implementing a complex project in the field under challenging circumstances. • Skilled in managing and compiling financial data for reporting and ensuring compliance with all donor requirements. • Excellent computer skills as they relate to financial management. • Excellent interpersonal and team work skills. • Superior written and oral communication skills in English are essential. • Advanced working knowledge of Portuguese language is essential.
