Responsibilities:
This position is focused on the categories handled by GFS-Global Functions Sourcing (i.e. IT,Prof Services,Real Estate,Travel,Contract Labour,Technology) and is expected to manage senior stakeholders mainly in China. Successful candidate will act as an incountry resource for China and is also a team member of the GFPT (Global Functions Product & Technology) Delivery Team in Asia Pac and is expected to provide leadership to support the anticipated GFPT activities and high growth in China.
Job Description
- Work closely with the Category Management team to ensure agreed commercial strategies are delivered/executed for all identified work plan items
- Work closely with Business Stakeholders to identify commercial project requirements and to provide Contract & Procurement functional guidance
- Work closely with the Finance,Tax,and Legal teams to ensure functional signoffs are received prior to contract execution
- Interface with the RtP team to ensure contracts are operationalized for strategic and tactical contracts
Accountabilities
- Work with Global Category teams in the execution of approved category strategies and commercial work plan items
- Develop/operationalize regional and globally leveraged agreements
- Proactively manage all assigned contracts,ensuring robust reviews occur in a timely fashion and value is derived from the contract
- Work independently,as part of a virtual team
- Proactively manage a portfolio of commercial projects
- Benchmark performance internally and externally
- Bring innovation to CP
- Manage continuous supplier improvement plan(s) and ensure that commercial terms are in place with all existing suppliers
- Engage the Requisition to Pay (RtP) team to ensure that RtP procedures are followed and all commercial deals are consistent and can be implemented properly
- Ensure that Shell's Category Management process is followed for both pre-award and post-award activities
- Identify and communicate new opportunities to leverage agreements and extract value from existing contracts
- Participate as required in initiatives to drive improvement in the organisation
- Onboard and rationalize existing legacy contracts from the various Businesses and Functions within Shell

Requirements:
Experience and Qualification
- Professional procurement background with minimum 5 years commercial experience. Prior Contract/Tender Board experience, and a degree or, professional certification is preferred.
- At a minimum, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Group CMCP (process and commercial contract management) techniques.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivery in a commercial environment and be able to show a strong customer focus.
Candidates should be able to:
