Shell seeks to recruit a Global Consultant Hydrocarbon Supply Chain Optimization to join its Projects & Technology (Global Solutions Downstream) team in Rijswijk.

- Review,develop,implement and stabilize refinery planning and scheduling models
- These tools are developed in Aspentech PIMS and ORION combined with Shell supported software
- Develop and implement Best Practices in supply planning,refinery scheduling,basic data generation and maintenance,crude assay generation and overall supply chain optimization
- Review and redesign the business processes around refinery planning,refinery scheduling,product blending and basic data generation and maintenance
- Drive the competence of staff in the area of refinery planning,scheduling blending,basic data and economics through managing the evelopment of training courses,providing training and through mentoring
- Manage supply chain improvement projects
- Manage the business needs for the further development of the planning,scheduling and blending toolset
- Initiate and maintain customer and competitor focus and understanding in delivery to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
- Coach and develop junior staff
Requirements:
The position requires a person with extensive experience of refining, chemicals or gas plant economics, technical and operating experience.
Hands-on know-how in carrying out Supply and Manufacturing Strategy studies, techno-economic and financial risk analysis.
Additionally previous experience in Process Integration and margin improvement activities is highly valued.
Skill level in at least two refining or chemicals technology areas, with preferably knowledge level in several others.
Proficient in techno-economic analysis, financial risk analysis, awareness of technology innovation, business acumen and consultancy skills.
Must have experience with process / refinery modeling.
Must have a track record in providing services to customers and working in challenging projects environment with associated pressures and demands.
Ability to develop customer relations effectively at appropriate levels in Client organization.
Effective coach & facilitator, listens well and a good communicator.
Innovative mindset and change management experience is desirable.
Solid technical background (e.g. Chemical Engineering).
A competitive remuneration package based on the prevailing conditions, policies and legislation in the Netherlands will be offered for this position. This position will not be offered on expatriate terms.
