Shell seeks to recruit a Global Consultant Crude Oil to join its Projects & Technology (Global Solutions Downstream) team in Amsterdam.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide commercially viable services for customers in the areas of Crude Oil quality and risk assessment and advanced feedstock management.
As skills grow, participation in crude valuation studies,l iaison with Exploration and Production and research & development (R&D) coordination can be expected. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a wide and integrated knowledge of the Shell Group's most important raw material.
The main responsibilities for this position are to deliver and lead services in the areas of:
- Crude oil quality tracking and crude assay management
- Crude oil and condensate marketing and processing consultancy
- Crude oil risk assessments
- Crude oil and feedstock valuation
- Contribute to R&D program to further develop crude and feedstock characterisation (such as Rapid and Deeper Crude Characterisation) and analytical methods and models
Contribute to further development of the Crude Services Intranet (CSI) application. This state-of-the-art application provides a central global crude data repository with multiple easy accessible crude functionalities. Maintain customer and competitor focus and understanding in delivery to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
Requirements:
You need to be able to apply and use our crude oil toolset and support end-users with their specific business needs. You are expected continuously to seek improvements to the offered products and services and actively grow the customer base.

The position requires a person with (preferably) a degree in Chemical Engineering and with solid experience in Refining or Trading with a significant portion of that time spent in Crude Oil knowledge.
A competitive remuneration package based on the prevailing conditions, policies and legislation in the Netherlands will be offered for this position. This position will not be offered on expatriate terms.
