National expert in drilling for geothermal development
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- The National counterpart drilling engineer will work with the Chief Drilling Engineer (international expert) to develop a sustainable business model that would deliver over 300 MWe of steam equivalent for Rwanda to achieve geothermal expansion plan in the next 7-15 years.
- The National counterpart Drilling Engineer will assist the Chief Drilling Engineer (international expert) in enhancing EWSA institutional capacity, management and administrative activities relating to geothermal development.
- An undergraduate degree in any of the following Drilling technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and or a Master’s degree in the same field.
- Post graduate training in Geothermal Technology would be an added advantage.
- 2 years relevant work experience with a minimum of 1 year work experience in geothermal drilling and development.
- Experience in geothermal exploration, project management and evidence of ability to develop staff.
All local counterparts are expected to understudy their assigned expert in the field of expertise throughout the course of the appointment.
