British Council Ethiopia is looking for a qualified individual to fill the post of Peacekeeping English Project Co-ordinator.
The Peacekeeping English Project (PEP) is an English language training programme that the British Council manages in Ethiopia on behalf of the UK government. It aims to build a sustainable system of English language training with the Peacekeeping Department of the Ethiopian Ministry of National Defence. Since the project started seven language centres have been established around the country, each providing intensive English language courses for potential Ethiopian peacekeepers. The teachers in the centres are all Ethiopian civilians, employed by EMOND and trained by the PEP. The project is managed at the British Council in Addis Ababa, with a team of four – the manager, teacher trainer (both UK appointed), the project co-ordinator and a driver. |
